4 Aspects to Obtaining Higher Consciousness

What is consciousness?

Consciousness is the state of being awake and aware to one’s surroundings.

What does it mean to live unconsciously?

The unconscious mind is a shadow of the “real” mind it’s not identifiable less flexible, complex, controlling, deliberative and action-oriented than its counterpart (the conscious mind).

– Paraphrased from https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2440575/

To live unconsciously is to act on the emotions we don’t understand, when we do this we give away our power and life-energy acting out of routine, patterns and old conditioning.

We tend to live according to our “current feeling” rather than seeing life as it is and working towards the bigger picture.

What is higher consciousness?

Higher consciousness is the consciousness of a higher self, transcendental reality or God. It is “the part of the human being that is capable of transcending animal instincts.

– Excerpt from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Higher_consciousness#CITEREFBunge2001

How do we influence higher consciousness?

We can influence higher consciousness by understanding ourselves and our place in time and space. We must become aware of all the conditional patterns that have influenced our behavior up until this point.

We need to learn discipline and control in order to train the mind and body to abide to our higher self.

To reach a higher consciousness we need to transcend the current circumstances… we need to stop living through the senses, stop living through emotion and rather live through our objective intellect and spiritual needs.

How do you transcend your current circumstances?

We transcend our current circumstanced through a process of self-actualization.

Through understanding ourselves fully, spiritually and physically we are better able to see clearly and better able to work along side the laws of nature rather than against them.

What is the process of self-actualization?

We can build awareness by challenging our trials and tribulations with a can-do attitude, only through giving yourself fully can we learn best from experience. Knowledge is power and knowing thyself is the beginning of all wisdom.

How do we begin the process of self-actualization?

We begin by realizing we’re human just like everyone else. We must also realize the world is full of chaos and we can’t always make sense of everything; we need to learn to control what we can and to let go of what we can’t.

The process of self-actualization begins the moment we accept ourselves as who we are and begin to release the negativity that has plagued us up until this point in time.

The good and the bad of the past have come together to make this very moment in time, accept it and give in to the moment. Focus on creating memorable moments so tomorrow’s moment can be harvested better than today’s.

The process begins when we start taking initiative and responsibility for the direction of our lives.

I still don’t know where to begin, where do I start?

Start by determining what it is you truly want in life if money was no object. Where would your soul guide you if you weren’t tied down by your cash resources?

Okay, I determined what I want… but I still haven’t figured myself out…

Honestly dreams are dreams and can sometimes becoming true realizations but until we are able to distinguish our deeper reasons for these dreams they will direct us and cause mayhem on our psyche.

One thing we need to truly come to realize within ourselves is life isn’t about the destination, its about the journey. Embrace your journey and you’ll have arrived at your destination.

Most of us are to focused on the past and future leading us to our biggest flaw; emotional-based thinking. We need to focus on this current moment with our full awareness and continue honoring each moment remaining fully present to grow as individuals.

Understanding the Flaws in Emotional-Based Thinking

Living in a reaction-based consciousness we tend to hold in various emotions simultaneously, these emotions identify themselves when we feel threatened. Most of the time when we get into this defensive state we can only identify ourselves with the strongest emotion out of the bunch, usually anger or sadness.

We are “unconscious” to our emotional thinking. When we become emotional it’s not an instance of one emotion becoming to strong to contain, it’s more of an instance of how our various emotions react with one another.

More often then not we’re feeling more than one emotion at a time and this can becoming confusing to us on the conscious level, which causes us to react at times on surface level and not fully understanding why.

Higher consciousness begins with discipline first and foremost.

Discipline is everything; the road to liberation is a dogfight that will knock you down time after time again… not everyone will be able to live and find what is known as “Christ consciousness” some of us live on low levels, others on high ones.

The frequency in which we “be” and frequently reside in will determine our circumstances, how we handle them and how they introspectively change us.

Only through a commitment of excellence are we able to find our own strongest levels achieving clarity and true direction.

Overcoming Subjectivity

To live in higher consciousness we must fight to see the objective truth. There is a lot of man-made deception with the intent on keeping humankind focused on basic needs.

Keeping the mass population focused on these lower level needs takes the attention away from things that could truly benefit our nature and overall existence.

Personal Growth and the Road to Achievement

Read, read, and read… there’s so much to understand about human nature and existence itself. Anyone who knows anything knows there’s always more to learn.

Find a way that you work on yourself so that you can add value to others. Find your beliefs and allow others to find theirs even if ideas may vary from your own; we all need to come to our own realizations and need to express ourselves without fear of being judged.

Start learning about personal development, check out business gurus like Brian Tracy, Jim Rohn, Earl Nightingale and Chris Widener, listen to audio books, podcasts or if you don’t have many books google for PDFs versions of whatever it is you’re interested in; find anything that inspires you and let it do its thing.

4 Key Aspects of Higher Consciousness

Thinking outside of the box, outside of labels and outside of predetermined patterns.

Transcendentalism – the belief that man is at his best when independent, and not part of organized religion or politics. To discover the nature of reality by investigating the process of thought rather than the objects of sense experience.

– Definition from http://www.yourdictionary.com/transcendentalism

Don’t cling to strongly to one idea, we are flawed thinkers and constantly make breakthroughs with new paradigm shifts. What you believe at this very moment may not be exactly what you believe in the future so don’t criticize others because before you know it you’ve become a hypocrite yourself. We all make mistakes and need to embrace the inner journey, don’t force others, focus on what you can control.

Commitment, initiative, releasing the negative and influencing the positive.

We feel lost or happy usually based on the extent of control we have over our own lives. Choosing to live through our senses typically comes with consequences physical in nature such as depleting our resources that could have been allocated to a better cause.

Living through senses creates the cycle of dependency and inner struggle which creates more conflict and barriers to happiness.

When we’re in this state of low self-esteem we tend to attract others in the same state which can create a faulty support system where everyone likes to see each other lose. With this feeling of lesser worth and inferiority we tend to feel envious and defeated when others mention their accomplishments. As a unconscious or conscious manipulative act using peer pressure and our influence we tend to hold people in the same position; we like change as long as it doesn’t affect us to much.

Finding silence, transcending energy through meditation, prayer or reflection.

A big part of finding silence is accepting our thoughts and ourselves as we are. We are all that we are, it is all that it is and if it’s meant to be it’ll be.

We must see life and reality not as something that happens to us but something that happens through us, and how we react will spawn and re-spawn through out our lives.

Choose to find your calmness. Choose to give time to your concealed thoughts, choose to see your thoughts but to realize you are not your mind but an eternal consciousness that cannot be scientifically shown as existing within the human body.

We are not trapped by our thoughts. What we generally do, however, is create thoughts that trap us.” Joshua David Stone

Those who carry the biggest burden have the greatest message with the greatest influence.

Choose to live life with a sense of passion, determine your values/principles and address what truly matters.

Live according to the greater good and praise all who see worth in you. Choose to add value to others, aim to ignite the ascension of others spiritually, and they will come back ten times stronger to influence you in your own endeavors.

Focus on good karma, do unto others as you wish to be treated yourself… choose to see the good and help people grow.

Reaching higher consciousness isn’t easy, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth it. We all must find our own virtues to happiness, all I ask is we all do our best to encourage positive change; peace, love and positivity.

Sparking Transformational Growth

Why do some people experience miracle after miracle while others seem to experience no luck at all? Do they have a rabbit foot in their back pocket?

Truth is a lot of us don’t approach change with the right mindset. We need to start taking action this very instance; before you know it the window of opportunity is lost and never to return.

Start taking action! Start now! Don’t let anything hold you back! Don’t choose laziness; the easy path only guarantees jealousy and resentment. Choose to take the higher road and to put forth a consistent effort. Change is inevitable; start directing your energy in a more constructive way, work on becoming your best self.

Don’t let neglect bury you in a deep grave you can’t get out of. Stress will kill you if you let it; let the stress be a driving force. Find your passion, build your momentum and harness your energy. Use adrenaline to tackle your biggest fears.

Find your courage, embrace fearlessness overcoming anything that burdens you.

Challenge yourself. Don’t let mistakes and downfalls determine the course of your life. Never back down, never give up. Even when you feel isolated, even when things seem impossible commit to your vision choose to live morally strong.

Seek to understand and to grow. Your emotions will get the best of you on occasion, you’re only human. It’s okay to have an emotional reaction just don’t let emotions affect your decision-making in the grand scheme of things.

Allow pain to propel you forward, allow it to become a mindful learning experience, channel your pain and find a way to express yourself. Find your flow and let go; stop criticizing yourself and just let be, see what’s possible. Find something you’re passionate about and work tirelessly till it’s completed.

Anytime you feel down on yourself take action in the creation process. Create for yourself, find your expressive piece & allow your soul to move you. Find a place free of distractions, quiet your mind and just be.

Don’t be sad, be grateful and appreciate this very moment the natural flow of the universe will provide. Just be you, be genuine, find your true vibration. Find your truth, your happiness, and your reason to be; rid yourself of the soul-sucking ego.

Live purposefully and within your means encourage others to do the same. Commit to action everyday and work on building self-esteem. One day your pain will subside make sure pride is there to take its place.

“One should… be able to see things as hopeless and yet be determined to make them otherwise” – F. Scott Fitzgerald

Suffering is a part of life, we all suffer in different ways but something beautiful comes with it; Only through pain can we come to understand true joy.

Principles of Blog Writing

When it comes to blog writing everyone has their own take. Blog writing is self-expression at its finest, allowing even the most complex individuals to showcase and articulate their deepest thoughts without fear of rejection.

Honestly when I think about blog writing I think to myself… Am I really cut out for this? Could I really maintain a blog? Would I be able to keep up with engaging content that viewers actually want to read?

Realistically it doesn’t matter as long as I write. My first principle of blog-writing is doing it for myself. Writing about topics that peak my interest and at a volume that makes sense to me. If I wake up tomorrow and don’t want to write a blog, that’s fine, I won’t write a blog that day. If I wake up and want to write 4 blogs then I don’t let anything stop me and I do so. I try not to criticize myself in terms of working on my blog; I try to just allow the energy to flow naturally.

My second principle would be patience. There are many factors that contribute to becoming a successful SEO and blog writing is only one of those aspects. It’s essential to continue to stay patient not only when considering building followers but also when working on developing your own personal skills. Change is inevitable and we need to continue our own personal progression to stay innovative and ahead of the curve.

Principle three; perseverance. (A) Staying true to your voice, (B) putting the time in when it counts and (C) remaining consistent.

(A) First persevere with your voice. Don’t forget about why you began and what your aim was. What were your values and your overall goal? Stay consistent with who you are just focus on A+ quality. Honestly we can all be insightful if we are given the opportunity to engage in deep thought. We all see the world different from one another and can learn from each other’s various perspectives. Staying true to yourself means staying in line with your passion and finding a niche that will appreciate and support you for who you are.

(B) Putting in the time when it counts refers to not allowing yourself to fall behind. It means being able to deviate good decisions from bad ones, doing what actually needs to be done rather than a lesser task. It means potentially staying up some nights just to get head sometimes just to allow freedom to breathe. Writing can easily become a daunting task if you begin to resent it but that’s not to say it could also introduce you into a world of euphoria engaging in new positive thought patterns.

(C) Perseverance is everything. “Writing at its best, is a lonely life” – Ernest Hemingway. You need to be willing to endure solitude and isolation to concentrate on your own thoughts.

Principle four; care for yourself. Now this may seem odd and almost like it has nothing to do with blog-writing but that couldn’t be further from the truth. If blogging is our platform for self-expression then we need to be sure we are expressing ourselves in a whole, joyous way. Choose to live in the light rather than the darkness.

If we are angry at the world 24/7 365 days out of the year then most likely when we write the underlying tone that the readers will embrace is that of anger or sadness. We need to be able to write from the heart from a place of love or the craft will become tedious and repetitive fairly quickly.”We can’t learn to love another until we’ve learnt to love ourselves” this is also in our writing. Learn to love yourself and enjoy being happy everything else will fall in line.

Personal Growth & Development

“Lost time is never found again” – Benjamin Franklin

personal growth and development

Success is a small list of daily habits carried out with consistency over an extensive period of time. Ideally we fashion the lives we want with the actions we choose yet most of us are sabotaging ourselves with destructive habits. Its time to wake up and start taking action.

We all use our time differently and these differences will determine the course of where our life will flow. Choosing to wake up never intently thinking about the future we tend to lead ourselves down a rabbit hole we cannot escape. Gradually our self-destructive habits take a toll on our resources and our self-esteem creating an uncontrollable downward spiral which usually leads to reckless spending and consumer debt. The effects of debt can be soul-crushing making the future appear hopeless.

We must consciously choose to look at our choices with a long-term approach in mind.

“People do not lack strength, they lack will” – Victor Hugo

Distractions are everywhere. From binge watching TV shows to never getting off social media many individuals are wasting their time gaining no benefit from their actions. More often then not these individuals are sick of their monotonous routine and actually experience negative side effects yet they continue to live the same patterns.

We all have our strengths and our weaknesses but it’s up to us to take personal responsibility for our own growth. Once we stop stretching our comfort zones our lives become plain and dull. We need to create a plan of action to accomplishing what we believe is possible or else we will never get there.

Don’t live hoping, wishing and ultimately regretting. Take action and see what’s possible. You determine your own worth. If time is money then don’t let yours be wasted, be conscious with how you manage it. Determine what you’re willing to sacrifice for the greater good and take progressional steps to get there.

Before embarking on your soulful journey be sure to consider the following:

  1.  Transformational change begins with your attitude.
Be positive and have faith that your circumstances will become better with time.
  2. Make your goals clear.
What do you want to achieve and how are you going to get there?
  3. Evaluate your current support system.
Do the people around you support your new goals and ideas or are they discouraging?
  4. Create/find a safe haven conducive to your growth.
Find an efficient place you can be alone; somewhere to reflect, think and be productive.
  5. Start everyday with a plan.
Evaluate and plan everything you need to accomplish the night prior
Prioritize your tasks as efficiently as possible
  6. Set the mood for your day.
Find a way to make your mornings joyful whether it be reading, writing, listen to music or engaging in physical activity.
  7. Enjoy the process.
“Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is more important than the outcome” – Arthur Ashe. Remember to have fun along the way or you’ll soon lose your “umph” and inspiration to persevere.
  8. Do what works for you.
Everyone’s vision of success is different. Don’t let people persuade you off the right path. Remember your values and what you’re ultimately trying to obtain. Remember not to stress take life as it comes, you can never plan for everything. Be flexible but always considerate of how your actions affect others.
  9. Learn from the best.
Whether it be the best teachers or the best sources, choose to go straight to the source whenever possible. Don’t believe everyone tells you. Question everything; learn to make up your own mind if there’s no evidence pertaining to the circumstance.
  10.  Be humble in the face of humility.
Don’t rationalize why you failed instead re-evaluate how the situation could be done differently and act. Don’t complain or go into a negative state of mind, learn from your mistakes.
  11.  Be consistently persistent.
Get up when you get knocked down. No pain no gain; we stand back up only to grow stronger if we’re willing to learn from our mistakes.
  12.  Read, read and read some more.
By other’s faults wise men correct their own.

Information is everywhere there’s never been a better time to learn for free. Whether it be online pdfs, audio books or credible articles the power is at our fingertips and is more available than ever.

“The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge” – Daniel Boorstin

Always have good intentions and seek to understand the knowledge parted. If you know you’re doing the right thing don’t let others convince you otherwise. Be confident in your ability and act with conviction. Don’t let anyone stand in the way on your path to becoming your best self.
