What is Happiness?

happiness

Everyone’s definition of happiness is different. The concept of happiness never changes but how we attain it does. Happiness is gained by simply valuing yourself and your role in society. Plain and simple.

Not everyone is born into great power. A lot of us are born below the poverty line and because of this we have barriers to our happiness. Happiness isn’t having money but money does allow happiness to flow. We can attain happiness through personal growth and what better propels personal growth than income. Having the income to buy the things you need to move forward is a huge relief. Constant burdens of debt and financial trouble easily put a strain on life making the future seem hopeless. For these reasons financial stability is extremely important when it comes to bettering yourself. Regardless if you love the job or not it’s important to have consistent income. Be gritty and don’t give up.

Bettering yourself comes hand in hand with valuing yourself. I’m sure you’ve heard it a million times “love yourself”. Seems easy yet it couldn’t be any more difficult. So often we forget how critical we are on ourselves and stand in the way of our own happiness. Remember this moment is all we have no need to reminisce about the past or worry about the future just live and let live. You are the sum of all your choices and moving forward with good intentions will help to balance a strong healthy well-being.

Another method that brings us to value ourselves is the service we render to others. We all need a purpose and a reason to get up each morning. Sometimes we lose our purpose and forget who we are when we live in isolation with our thoughts. We need to be free with the outside world. We need to find reasons to get outside, our reasons to be healthy and our reasons to live a truly great life. Having influences outside of ourselves helps this. We need a support system when times are tough, a mentor to teach us wisdom and a family to call home. Love is everything. Love, love, love don’t forget it.

Ultimately happiness comes from appreciating yourself. How you love yourself will influence how you treat everyone else. Remember to work on yourself be proud, be humble and always have the best intentions in mind. Live life to the fullest and don’t be afraid to get outside. Find your niche. Find a hobby and someone to share it with that’s where true happiness comes from.

  4. […] Do you live a fulfilling life? What is fulfillment? Fulfillment is gaining satisfaction from your actions. Why is this absurd? Because not everyone acts in a fulfilling way. Most of us are conditioned by our environment to accept what is our true reality.
